Customize Our Service to Your Needs:
In addition to the Business Management, the Program Development, and the Pro Shop Operations of a tennis department, TBS has had a great deal of experience in Facility Development for both indoor and outdoor tennis facilities. In the mid-70’s Brian Marcus served as the General Manager of the Franklin Racquet Club in the Detroit suburbs, the largest Indoor Tennis & Racquetball club in the USA. During his twenty years at the Atlanta Athletic Club, he oversaw the renovation of all twelve outdoor courts from very basic courts to state-of-the art courts with California Corners, Resting Gazebos and excellent lighting systems. Brian also oversaw the complete renovation of four indoor courts and was intimately involved with the construction of a boutique stadium court – used during professional events. In 2005 the AAC was recognized by the USTA as the National Facility of the Year.
For eight years the AAC hosted the AT&T Challenge, an ATP Tour event. Andre Agassi, Michael Chang, Pete Sampras, Patrick Rafter, and other top world-ranked players were regular competitors at the tournament. Andy Roddick won his first professional tournament here. The AAC also hosted two Champion (Senior) Tour events with Connors, Courier, Borg, Wilander, etc. As Tennis Director, Brian was involved in all aspects of those events from the contract negotiations with the management companies, to the facility preparation, to member-involvement as volunteers. If your club is contemplating hosting any type of major event, TBS is of great service to you.
